UPPEAL™Partly bio-based
UPPEAL™ is partly Biobased, vegan, waterproof, and cruelty-free alternative to animal leather made from the waste of apples grown in Northern Italy. It is produced by Mable Industries and Frumat since 2014.
In Northern Italy, around 30,000 tonnes of apple waste are produced, and Frumat, based in Bolzano, transforms this waste into Frumat Apple Powder. Mable Industries then combines this powder with polyurethane, creating UPPEAL™.
This material is soft and flexible, easy to emboss or print with lasers. UPPEAL™ is all about offering style without compromising on quality or the environment.
